Dear Amba Gayatri,
I have a question regarding the Lakshmi Sahasranamam Stothra, when we are chanting the sthotra we must include the Nyasa & Dhyanam before chanting the sthotra? or can we chant the sthotra only excluding the Nyasa and Dhyanam? I have found 2 types of Nyasa, I'm unaware which one is permitted to be chanted by a normal person or none. The first one is quite common in many websites starts like this;
Nyasah:
Asya Sri Lalita Sahasranamastotra Maha Mantrasya
Vasinyadivagdevatarsayah
Anustup Chandah
Srilalita Paramesvari Devata
Srimadvagbhavakuteti Bijam
Madhyakuteti Saktih
Saktikuteti Kilakam
Sri Lalita Maha Tripurasundari prasadasiddhidvara
Cintitaphalavaptyarthe Jape Viniyogah.
The second Nyasah:
After the above stanzas continues with the manthra phrases;
Aim anguşthābhyām namah:
Klím tarjaníbhyām namah:
Sauh: madhyamābhyam namah:
Aim anāmilābhyām namah:
klím kanişthikabhyām namah:
Sauh: karatala kara pŗşthābhyām namah:
Aim hŗdayāya namah:
Klím Śirasé svāhā
Sauh Śikhāyai vasat
Aim kavachāyahum
Klím nétratrayāya vausat
Sauh astrāya phat
Bhūhbhuvahsuvah ôm iti digbandhah
and then followed by Dhyanam, Sorry for the long question again, as I want to chant Lalitha Sahasranaman but I want to do it properly without going against the shastras.
Dear Amba Gayatri,
I have a small request, please kindly post the Lalitha Sahasranama Sthothram. I am devoted to your posts as they are the most accurate and the best among the blogs I've seen, your knowledge in the Arts of Music as well as other posts regarding the Vedanta Philosophy are very informative and very interesting to read and know, also the overall perfection in the subject, I must thank you for ALL of this wonderful posts.
Dear Sri.Goverthana,
Thank you for your kind appreciation of my articles.
I chant only the Lalitha Saharanama Stotram and do not do the Nyasah. For specifics, kindly take the guidance of a Srividya Upasaka.By chanting only sthothram you will not go against shasthra.
I shall certainly post Lalitha Sahasranamam.
Kind Regards.
Dear Ms. Geetha, Very happy to know the same!
Thanks
Please clear my doubts. Do i have to draw the yantra everyday if I'm using butter since I've to consume that also.
Pl. do not do yantra pooja unless and until you are initiated by Srividya Upasaka or an authorised spiritual Guru. Chanting slokas will yield very good results.
